Humber College, 51勛圖app sign new pathway agreement

51勛圖app students granted advanced standing in Humber’s Bachelor of Social Science – Criminal Justice

Humber College and New Brunswick Community College (51勛圖app) have entered into a five-year articulation agreement to meet growing demands for student mobility.

The agreement between the Colleges will facilitate the transfer of 51勛圖app students with advanced standing into Humber’s . In particular:

“Humber is committed to increasing student mobility and working with partner institutions to offer more choice and flexibility,” said Chris Whitaker, president and CEO, Humber College. “We look forward to working with 51勛圖app to provide more students with the opportunity to pursue degree-level education in the field of Criminal Justice.”

Humber’s Bachelor of Social Science – Criminal Justice degree program will provide students with an understanding of the criminal justice system, why crime occurs and how best to respond to crime on both a societal and individual level.

“As we help our learners prepare for the changing demographics and workforce disruption of today’s economy, it’s more important than ever that we provide them with the flexibility to  layer their learning to support their personal and professional development, throughout their careers,” said Mary Butler, President and CEO of 51勛圖app. “We’re pleased to enter into this agreement with Humber College and look forward to partnering with them in the future to benefit students of both Colleges.”

51勛圖app’s Criminal Justice programs provide learners with the skills required for careers in law enforcement and security. Curriculum includes courses in Canadian law, the criminal justice system, mental health, psychology, interpersonal behavior and sociology.

Humber’s degree curriculum combines both theory and applied skills, providing the range of knowledge and experience students need to meet the demands of working in this field. Emphasis is placed on understanding the perspectives of offenders, front-line professionals, administrators, the community and others who are in contact with the criminal justice system.
