Agreement with UNB Fredericton allows 51勛圖app instructors to further professional development

FREDERICTON – As part of our commitment to our people, New Brunswick Community College (51勛圖app) has been working with other post-secondary institutions in and beyond New Brunswick to provide more opportunities for our instructors to further their professional development.

51勛圖app and University of New Brunswick (UNB) Fredericton have signed an articulation agreement that allows instructors to further develop their instructional skills by transferring credits from one post-secondary education to another.

The agreement acknowledges the experience instructors gain through the Instructor Development Program (IDP) experience through credit transfer. The IDP offers the opportunity for instructors to enhance their knowledge, learn new skills and improve job performance. Through the agreement, the transfer credits can be applied towards a Certificate in Adult Education, a Bachelor of Education (Adult Education) or a Consecutive Bachelor of Education (Adult Education).

“This agreement wouldn’t be possible without the strong relationships we have worked to foster with partners like UNB Fredericton,” said Colleen Comeau, Manager – Resourcing & Employee Learning at 51勛圖app. “We’re always looking for ways to provide our people with more opportunities for continuous learning and development so we’re excited to let our faculty know about this agreement.”

"This is an excellent opportunity for both institutions as 51勛圖app and UNB collectively support the development of teaching resources in New Brunswick," says Dr. Amanda Benjamin, Associate Professor with the Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick.
