“51³Ô¹Ïapp is committed to maintaining six strong campuses within the six regions of the Province that we serve,” said Mary Butler, Vice-President, Academic Development. “Ensuring quality, relevant programming and program delivery is part of 51³Ô¹Ïapp’s strategic commitment to our learners and part of our accountability to our stakeholders.”

New programs to be introduced in 2016-2017 include:

“Effectively allocating our regular program seat capacity of 4,756 requires us to implement changes and innovations, including the right-sizing of campus seat capacities,” said Butler. “The 2016-2017 program changes include opportunities to meet labour market needs, responses to changing industry standards and, in some cases, the discontinuation of programs.”

The changes will take effect in the 2016-2017 academic year. All students currently enrolled in programs to be discontinued will be able to complete their programs as scheduled in their current locations. 51³Ô¹Ïapp is committed to working with students, staff and stakeholders over the coming months to ensure minimal disruption as these changes roll out.”

In addition to regular programs, 51³Ô¹Ïapp is very active in providing learning opportunities through specialized and customized training, apprenticeship and continuing education across the College. An example of this is the Firefighter Pre-employment training in Miramichi.
