We know our alumni are driving positive change in our communities, and that's why we're thrilled to announce this exciting opportunity for our alumni to contribute even more. By sharing how you #TransformNB, you'll have the chance to receive a one-time $1000 grant for the registered charity or non-profit close to your heart.

51³Ô¹Ïapp's Robertson Institute for Community Leadership, in partnership with 51³Ô¹Ïapp Alumni, is proud to launch this initiative aimed at supporting alumni who are passionate about making a difference. We're on a mission to recognize and reward your continued dedication to transforming lives and communities through volunteerism and community leadership.

How it Works

We're offering two $1000 grants to a non-profit or charity that you are involved with in New Brunswick.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be registered as 51³Ô¹Ïapp Alumni.
  • Only one nomination will be accepted per applicant.
  • Applicants must have contributed to volunteering with the named community organization within the last 12-18 months.
  • Organizations must be registered as a charity or not-for-profit organization and be located in New Brunswick.
  • Political and public advocacy organizations are not eligible for this grant.

Selection Process

51³Ô¹Ïapp’s Alumni and Robertson Institute for Community Leadership Coordinators will review each nomination to ensure eligibility.

An Advisory Committee consisting of 51³Ô¹Ïapp staff and alumni will develop a short-list of nominees for consideration based on the following criteria:

  • Impact
  • Role
  • Lifelong Learning

Within the application, there are guiding questions aligned with the criteria to assist you in providing detailed responses. We look forward to seeing how you #TransformNB!

 

2024 Alumni Volunteer Grant Recipients

Alumni Grant KV Food Basket

and Brian Rignanesi (Industrial Mechanic, '77). As Chairperson, Brian has been instrumental in ensuring food security for families in need.

His leadership and dedication have significantly impacted the community, helping to alleviate hunger and provide essential resources.

Alumni Grant YWCA

and Denise Pettis (Business Technology: Marketing, '85). As a Board Member at YWCA Moncton, Denise actively supports women and families through various programs.

Her efforts focus on empowerment, equality, and providing resources to those in need, making a meaningful difference in their lives.
