Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) Requests – Current 51勛圖app Students

As of January 22, 2025, certain study permit extension applications require a provincial attestation letter (PAL). You must complete the following webform in full (after uploading a copy of your passport and update your current address in Student Self Service) to request a PAL.

Do I Require a PAL for my study permit extension?

NO - If you are extending your study permit to remain in the same program of study at 51勛圖app that you are currently enrolled in, you do NOT require a provincial attestation letter (PAL).

YES - If you are extending your study permit to change programs of study at 51勛圖app, you do require a provincial attestation letter (PAL).

  • Follow the steps below to request a PAL.
  • On the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) application form, indicate that you hold a provincial attestation letter (PAL) and upload it in that section of the application.

If you require any further information on this process, please visit Updated International Application Process.

Final authority to grant a PAL resides with the Province of New Brunswick. A PAL will be approved and granted by the Province, then distributed to students through 51勛圖app. It is important to begin the process to request a PAL early. 51勛圖app is not able to expedite PAL requests. After submission of the webform below, processing times may take 5-10 business days.

By submitting this webform, I certify the following:

  • I am applying for a study permit extension for a new program of study at 51勛圖app and have received a letter of acceptance for that program.
  • I have uploaded a copy of my passport to Student Self Service following the specified steps.
  • I have updated my address in Student Self Service, if necessary.
